One important experience from EasyWay Phase 1 is that a stronger technical coordination is required in order to achieve the goals set up concerning harmonised deployment of core European ITS services. Therefore EasyWay Steering Committee (SC) decided in the beginning of 2010 to introduce the Technical Coordination Team (TCT) as a new working group supporting EasyWay SC.
The TCT consists of leaders of the different ESG’s, one representative from each Euro Region, plus leaders of COMM, EW SEC, EEG, and the TCT leaders. Arne Lindeberg, Swedish Transport Administration, Sweden is leader of TCT and Stephanie Kleine, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany is deputy. TCT also have a secretary assisting the TCT leaders.
The overall mission of the TCT is to establish and monitor the processes required in order to safeguard synchronized deployment of harmonised Core European ITS services.
In order to fulfil the mission TCT is responsible for coordination of all ESGs tasks, coordination and harmonisation of the Deployment Guidelines and for the Member states consultation process. TCT is also responsible to develop and maintain the EasyWay Vision, EasyWay Goals and the Road Map.
