New ESG-5 DATEX II Leader!

By January 1 2012 the chairmanship for ESG 5 DATEX will be handed over from Reiner Dölger (Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany) to Torsten Geissler and the German Federal Highway Research Institute (in German: BASt, Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen).

Torsten has a background in economics with a specialization in transport economics. He is the German member of CEDR Task 14 (The role of National Road Authorities in ITS, eSafety, EasyWay) and is involved in a number of deployment related working groups within TISA, Car2Car Communication Consortium and iMobilityForum.

Josef Kaltwasser will remain chairperson of the DATEX technical group and will continue supporting the ESG 5 chair.
